Hugh Wakeham
President
Hugh launched WAM in early 1999. Since then, he has grown the operation to include offices in Southern California and Toronto. He has been successful in building a stellar reputation for the company, thereby attracting some of North America's most prestigious properties and corporate accounts. He added a new division to the company in 2020, focused on offering exclusive art and architecture-focused travel for discerning clients. It is known as PACE - or - Premier Arts and Cultural Experiences.
Before starting his companies, Hugh spent over seven years as Senior Vice President of a major international entertainment company based in New York and Toronto, where he was responsible for selling naming rights for theatrical venues; sponsorship of theatrical productions, educational programs and concert presentations; negotiation of official supplier agreements; and development and execution of promotional activity for productions worldwide. Some of Hugh's prior work included the 1988 Toronto G7 World Economic Summit; 1988 Calgary Winter Olympics; the 1987 Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting in Vancouver; Expo 86, Vancouver; the 1986 Vancouver Centennial Commission; 1985 tour of Pope John Paul II, and the 1983 World University Games.
Hugh graduated from UBC in Vancouver, Canada in 1980. He serves on the board of the Palm Springs Modern Committee in California.
